Who am I? What do I mean by that? And why should you care?

My name is Lilly F Elliott, I am a Professional Pinup artist and head-mistress of bad kitten creations, better known as Lillylie. My passion is art on the sexy side, and life reflecting art.
What I mean by the above is that you do not have to be a fashion historian or spend all your time and money on getting your look 'authentic' if you don't want to.
You should care because I am going to give you the information you need to create your own look in the vintage style, that can be truly authentic or take influence from the 30s, 40s and 50s but is distinctly you, as well as share with you my cheesecake girly artwork at the same time.

Afew facts about me - I wear vintage or vintage style clothing, hair and makeup every day and have done for many years. - I am a qualified beauty therapist/nail tech and an ex stage makeup artist. - I have been obsessed with burlesque since before I was old enough to understand what it was. - I make allot of my own clothes and accessories using both authentic vintage patterns and many of my own design - I call everyone I like "kitten"....Nice to meet you xxx

In this site I explore and celebrate the voluptuous curves of the pin-up girl's journey through the ages, with my own artwork and in my everyday life.
In our modern times it seems that femininity has become a dirty word, and female beauty is a choice between cynical and obvious sexuality or emaciated and sexless fashion victims.
It is not surprising therefore that the 30s, 40s, and 50s vintage styles have made such a huge come-back in recent years. Seeing a return of natural curves, natural women and fun and elegant fashions is a true delight to women and men alike, and I am excited.
Since I was a child I have adored the style of the women of the golden age of Hollywood and of the showgirls of Europe. I have been captivated by pinups and, as a child, when I saw them I knew at least a part of who I was going to be when I was a 'big girl'.
And through study (obsessing?), beauty school and sheer willpower I now live it in my life and work every day.

So if you love vintage art and lifestyle in today's world, then welcome home and I hope you enjoy this with me.
